BET Awards: Complete List of Winners & Justin Timberlake’s Apology

The BET Awards were held Sunday night, and though the overall evening was a powerful celebration of artists, there were some events that left people scratching their heads.

Jesse Williams, actor, gave a powerful speech that shone light on police brutality as well as cultural appropriation.

Jesse Williams’ speech was a highlight of the evening.

However, shortly after that, Justin Timberlake tweeted asking if Williams could run for president and that he was inspired. Despite the nice tone, some people think Timberlake is guilty of the cultural appropriation Williams was talking about.
