The Hollywood Vampires, made up of members Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp in addition to Perry, were playing a show in Coney Island when Perry sat down on a drum kit in the midst of a song. Shortly after, he made his way off the stage and lost consciousness.
The show went on as Perry was admitted to the Coney Island hospital to undergo testing. Though the other bandmates and the band’s publicist have remained silent on what led to the hospitalization, they did post that he was doing well.
Alice Cooper tweeted out that was in a stable condition:

A message was also posted on Joe Perry’s Twitter account:
Thanks to all of the fans reaching out and asking about Joe. He is stable right now, with family and is under the best care.

A fan caught Perry’s exit on camera:
After the guitarist left, Alice Cooper led the crowd in chanting “Get well, Joe.”
Perry has been performing with the Hollywood Vampires since the group formed in 2015. Since then, they’ve released one studio album and have had guest artists like Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl and Christopher Lee.
Unfortunately, thanks to Johnny Depp’s contentious divorce proceedings from Amber Heard, the group picked up some publicity when Depp decided to continue touring in Europe rather than returning to the U.S. The attention on the band has quickly shifted as they continue to put on stellar shows across the world.
