You missed Coachella again?
The big story at April’s Coachella music festival was the return of rap duo Outkast, but that’s not the only thing you missed if you weren’t lucky enough to be in Indio, California for the two-weekend festival.
Coachella has an annual must-see since it was founded in 1999. Headliners that year included Beck, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Coldplay, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rage Against the Machine (and more). While the festival typically celebrates indie and rock artists, big pop and rap names like Madonna and Dr. Dre have performed.
The 2014 festival was filled with surprises, from Justin Bieber joining Chance the Rapper onstage to Beyoncé dancing in support of a performance by her less-famous sister Solange.
Outkast’s comeback was the biggest story, but the performance was bashed for poor sound. Meanwhile, Lana Del Rey unexpectedly had one of the best performances of the festival, showing a vast improvement over her disastrous night on SNL just two years ago.
Every year, countless new artists break through at Coachella. Will you discover your new favorite band in 2015?
