The ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 12, but that’s only if anyone actually shows up. Supposedly, several of the artists find the Grammys total irrelevant, and, even worse, racist.
Justin Bieber was nominated for four Grammys, but won’t be there to accept any wins. “He just doesn’t think the Grammys are relevant or representative, especially when it comes to young singers,” a source said.
Drake shares in that sentiment, but has a whopping eight nominations. Kanye West–also with eight nominations–is focusing more on the race issues at play. He’s already won 21 Grammys, but he has yet to win when competing against a white artist. “There’s no real anger,” the source added. “It’s just that a lot of younger singers think the Grammys are out of touch and arguably irrelevant.”
