Earlier this month, Kanye was performing at the Forum in Los Angeles when he just couldn’t go on anymore. As he was finishing up the song “Only One,” he asked the crew to turn the house lights on–the show was over.
The reason for the abrupt stop was a raspy voice. “My voice is so hoarse,” Kanye West stated. “I can’t finish the show. I promise I’ll do better next time.”
A fan caught the whole situation on camera:

Fans were naturally angry about the turn of events since tickets to see the rapper don’t come cheap. There were also a ton of other celebrities there who got the short end of the stick, including Harry Styles, Pete Wentz, Usher and T.I.
Thankfully, Kanye is making good on his promise to “do better.” He’s holding a makeup concert at the Forum this coming Sunday, November 20. Fans who were at the shortened show will get free tickets or a refund. This alone isn’t going above and beyond by any means, but he did take one extra step to make amends.
This time around, Kanye is offering a huge number of free tickets to kids at inner-city schools and music programs. Even though Kanye doesn’t always have the most humble personality by any means, doing a favor for kids is always something we can get behind.
If anything the additional show will be a good chance to scan the audience for all those celebrities who are sure to put in an appearance.
