Perry was originally slated to kick off her Witness tour on September 7 in Columbus, Ohio. However, the singer recently revealed that the first six dates are going to be rescheduled. Fear not–she’s not injured or sick or anything like that. Instead, the delays are coming because things weren’t quite perfect with the set-up yet.
Here’s what Katy Perry explained in an official statement:
Due to unavoidable production delays, major elements of my tour stage design could not be available for me to rehearse on until this week. I’ll be spending the next few weeks taking the time to properly prepare the show to be an experience I am proud to share with you. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hope everyone who sees the show will agree it was worth the wait.
With the bad news came some exciting news, however. Katy Perry also released an update on Instagram about which guest artists will be joining her.
