At least, she said she’d be willing to work with Swift if Swift apologized, and we KNOW that’s not gonna happen, so don’t even bother getting your hopes up that these two will some how make a song that will take over the pop world with its awesomeness.
These two have been feuding for a while now. After brief periods of friendliness at the 2008 VMAs and the 2009 Grammys, and they actually tweeted nice things to each other for a while there.
@taylorswift13 You’re as sweet as pie! Let’s write a song together about the subject we know best… for my new record. It’ll be brilliant~

2010 and 2011 continued in much the same fashion, but, alas, the pop star bliss couldn’t survive. And go figure, it all started with a man. See, Taylor Swift had previously dated John Mayer, but in 2012, Katy Perry started seeing him.
We’ll try to keep this condensed because it gets kind of convoluted. Some of Swift’s backup dancers jumped ship to go with Katy Perry, Perry supposedly copied a Sarah Bareilles song and then Swift brought Bareilles our on stage with her, but then the real kicker happened.
Swift gave an interview with Rolling Stone where she discussed her inspiration for the song “Bad Blood,” and she threw some major shade at another female artist.
“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’” Swift said. “She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. ”
That’s when Perry tweeted this awesome Mean Girls reference:
Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…

Not to mention, when the music video for “Bad Blood” dropped, the antagonist, played by Selena Gomez, looked an awful lot like Katy Perry.
There are more nitty gritty details, but let’s get to the current stuff. A fan asked Perry if she’d ever record a duet with Swift, and her response was pretty great:

Like we said, there’s not a chance in hell Taylor Swift will ever apologize for anything, or she’ll risk losing her perfect little princess demeanor–a collaboration is NOT going to happen.
