Lawsuit Lookin’ Boy: Hot Stylz Sues Eminen Over ‘Rap God’ Lyrics

It looks like Eminen has got some legal trouble brewing in his near future…

Rapper Raymond Jones of the Chicago trio Hot Stylz is suing Eminem along with label Interscope for $8 million big ones.

According to TMZ, Jones, who goes by the moniker ‘Raydio G’ claims “Rap God” incorporates 25-second of Hotstylz’s 2007 “Lookin’ Boy.”

Listen to the two songs below and compare Eminen’s “Rap God” and Hot Stylz’s “Lookin’ boy” lyrics on Rap Genius.

The only thing they have in common is the word “lookin” though Em took the exact melody, which is definitively basis for copyright infringement, assuming he did not get permission from the group.

In other words, Raymond Jones may have check headed his way at some point.

The “Rap God” segment in question starts at the 2:16 mark of the video.
