The band features Julian Casablancas on lead vocals, Nick Valensi on lead guitar, Albert Hammond, Jr., on guitar, Nikolai Fraiture on bass and Fabrizio Moretti on drums. It’s been years since they released their last album, Comedown Machine, in 2013, and considering they had barely recouperated after taking time to pursue solo projects, we felt lucky to even get one additional album.
Now, however, they’re picking up the pace yet again. In May of this year, the Strokes launched a new EP titled Future Present Past, which features three songs and a bonus remix. They’ve also announced they’ll be working on new material, so we can expect great things to come.
The Strokes are sure to play their newest EP music at their only Los Angeles show of the year, which will take place tonight (July 25, 2016) at the Wiltern. The show is aptly titled “The City of Angels Benefit Concert,” since proceeds will be going to three different charities that help the homeless. Those charities are The Center in Hollywood, Waste Not Want Not Now and the Downtown Women’s Center.
